Workers’ Compensation Insurance

Workers’ Compensation coverage is an insurance providing wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured during employment, in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee’s right to sue the employer for the tort of negligence.

What’s the risk of employer liability? While employers can sometimes pay a fine for not obtaining coverage, that’s typically the least of their concerns if they don’t acquire Workers’ Compensation. A workplace accident leading to injury or death now becomes an issue of unlimited financial liability. In many cases, failure to have Workers’ Compensation coverage when an incident occurs has bankrupted companies. Our experienced Account Manager will ensure you get the accurate level of coverage needed to be well prepared for these situations.

Please provide the following four items to receive a quote for Apollo General’s Workers’ Compensation insurance package:

  1. A complete ACORD Workers’ Compensation application (ACORD 130 or 130FL in Florida). We will need all sections completed, including prior loss experience and questions.
  2. Prior carrier loss runs for the past 3 years including the expiring year, valued within 90 days prior to the proposed effective date.
  3. A detailed description of all claims with a total incurred amount of $25,000 or more.  Expected information should include the injured employee’s occupation, role at time of injury, and cause of injury.
  4. The most current experience modification worksheet or snapshot.
